QTP 9.5 Object Recording functionality
Here are two differences from 9.2 that I have now noticed:
1. When a browser is added, even if it is the only browser running it is added with it's Creation Time. This can manually be set to None.
2. Much more problematic (IMO) is the stinking "Enable Smart Identification" setting. This is now permanently set to the QTP Tools->Object Identification dialog setting for each recorded object. And QTP (!*&$) ships with this crappy feature enabled for most of the Web objects. So, if someone adds one or more objects into the OR, and has SI enabled on their PC, the only way to set SI to False for those objects is to delete and then re-add them to the OR. (In 9.2 you could change these settings in the OR).
Re: QTP 9.5 Object Recording functionality
The first one is a better thing as it will help people who have less understanding on resolving browser issues.
