Passing parameters to external reusable action

    Hi,

I have a reusable action A1 in Test1 and has written some functions that takes the parameter passed to this function to perform the action, say..

    Function sample(Param1)
    msgbox Param1
    End Function

Now, I am calling this action A1 from Test2 like

    RunAction "A1[Test1]", oneIteration, Param1

When I execute Test2, the parameter given above is not getting passed to the reusable action A1.

I have not used action parameters so far and i am not familiar with it.

What do I need to do to make this work? Do I need to setup a input parameter for the Test (Test1) or for the reusable action (A1)?

If anyone has sample code...kindly help me. Thanks

Re: Passing parameters to external reusable action

    Hi Chandru,

You need to use Action parameters if you want to pass values to an action. In Action A1 of Test1, you need to declare an input action parameter, say "Param1". You can used this parameter within A1. Lets say,
    msgbox Parameter("Param1")

Now from Test2 when you insert Action "A1" of Test1, you can pass value to "Param1" of Action "A1".
    For Example,
    RunAction "A1 [Test1]", oneIteration, "Hi"

In above example we are passing "Hi" to "Param1". When you run Test2, it diplays "Hi" in message box.
