A colleague of mine wishes to know if you can get a list of objects from the Object Repository and then check if they are still in the application. Then he would want to run a script regularly to remove any objects from the OR that don't exist.
I don't think that:
1) You can automate the OR through scripting, and delete entries
2) Can get a list of all objects in the application.
In all honesty I think it's a daft question, as it would be a dangerous feature if you could do this, but I might be wrong.
There is nothing impossible , you can code for everything
with QTP9.0 and above it became easier to deal with the OR because they change it an xml file.
to do so you have to write code than read your OR XML file and do an If Exist for each Object according to its properties and parent classes, this is a complicated process, check the QTP Automation object document for more info.
