I have a quick question about object repository. I am using QTP 9.2. I was wondering what is the difference between object repository & object repository manager? I can create and rename objects in both of them, however in object repository I can't save .tsr file. I just want the right answer, where is the proper way to create object repository, save it, and reuse it later on?

You can only maintain and create local objects with Object Repository. infact I don't think you can maintain local objects at all with Object Repository Manager (I may be wrong though, too early in teh morning to be certain!!).
So if your approach is to have local ORs then use Object Repository, if it's shared then use Object Repository Manager
i'm QTP newbie, infact i'm testing newbie aswell(have programming exp). but i learned WR before coming to QTP and i got few doubts.
Object-Repository: in WR, we create gui file, load it(either manually or by command GUI_Load) and start coding. likewise, do we have to load gui/Object repository file in QTP or Object-Repository file is associated with the test file when we record test??
Object Model in QTP; what is object model used for. for example application model, we cannot use it in a test cause the QTP application is already open and we are writing tests in it, as we know only one instance of QTP can be created and another instance cannot be created on the same machine. i just need to know why and when do they use it.
