Tool Creation using descriptive programming in QTP
HI, I am trying to create a tool in excel in which user will enter teh data and corresponding to that data when user clicks on generate button it will generate teh Vbscript code for us. Now can anybody tell me has anyone generated this type of tool earlier. Also can anybody tell me how to link it with QTP. It is purely a kind of descriptive programming which i am going to use.

When user will fill all the details aand click on Generate Button then it wil generate a VBscript codee for us. And we can use that code in our QTP and can simply run our test. Can you please help me out in this. Any idea is most welcomed.

A simple approach would be to concatenate the strings into a separate Excel sheet. This sheet can then be saved as a text/vbs file from Excel. Writing an Excel macro to generate the script code into an excel table might prove to be more feasible or cleaner. How to execute the resultant file may be as simple as an executefile but that depends on how you design everything.
