    Problem with exporting excel workbooks

    Hi,
I have a scenario where I am calling 20 test under one action and finally exporting the whole work book. The problem is when I open the work book,I am getting an error that "one or more worksheet in the work book contains square brackets". For instance in the data sheet, all the called action as their own sheet with the action name and test name in the brackets(Action(Test1)).Is there a way to get rid of the brackets in the sheets? Please suggest.

    Thanks in Advance!

Please do a search on brackets. there are lots of replys on the same topic.

even i hve posted one simple script to remove the brackets before you do further operations.

Re: Problem with exporting excel workbooks

I would say that this a bug in QTP. They forgot to remove a very simple [] characters from tab name when exporting to excel. They do provide a private patch which will convert the [] to () while exporting. But you can always use EXCEL COM APIs to open the sheet and do all the correction and then save it again.
