I am using a shared file repository where all the QTP test scripts are stored. Using the attached vbscript to launch qtp and run the test and then formatting the result and finally closing QTP and iexplore.
I've scheduled this vbscript to run after midnight but when I come in the morning I see windows script error
"The remote server machine does not exist or is unavailable: 'Launch'"
so its failing at line 5.
I can run the scripts fine in the morning when I come to work.
I've also asked the helpdesk if Z:\ (which is the shared file repositor) goes down for maintenance, but they said no.
I looked for help here http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;189618
I am releasing QTP instance at the end of the test run.
Anyone else has experienced similar?
Re: QTP doesn\'t launch and vbscript throws an erro
the remote workstation is unlocked, but my local pc is locked at night. I don't see the login screen on the remote pc when I come in the morning, so that implies it stays unlocked.
Yes I am running few tests in series and yes I am closing QTP and all the browser after each test is run (that should help this issue further no?)
