I have installed a concurrent license server for QTP and now i am trying to install the.Net addin on the client machines. Even after running the set up for .Net addin when I invoke the client QTP the Addin screen shows that .NET addin and WPF addin are disabled . This is obvious since I have not specified the addin license anywhere . Neither in my client side or the concurrent license server ...Can somebody please tell me where should specify the License code for addins
Thanks for the response but when i tried to run the set up on the concurrent license server I see a message as QTP is currently not installed . Please installed that first. Do I need to install the full QTP on license server as well.
Its been 8 months since I went through all the steps but I think you need to run one of the license server utils and "import" the license file. If this makes no sense or does not work you need to contact HP/Merc support and have them walk you through it (there is a special option for license issues when you call in, I remember that).
I have already raised it to HP/Merc guys.....but knowing the power of this forum I know i will get a response from here much quicker than any where else ...hence i took a stab at posting this q on this forum....
thanks again for your response
Run the Server_Utilities tool (available on license server or CD) and select the LSLIC Utility to add/remove a license. Don't forget to use the command line syntax which suites your requirement to update the license file or not - explanation in the tool window.
If you had to identify, in one word, the reason
why the human race has not achieved, and never
will achieve, its full potential that word would be "meetings".
