I am working on java application, where i have to select one of checkbox displayed in JavaList (JavaList contains items with checkbox prefix).
1) When i added this object, it is not adding into Object Repository.
2) When i spy the object it is displaying properties.
In this situation how can i approach to identify/select the checkbox object.
Notation: Opinions stated above are of my own.
Use Java Methods. Something like
There will be a lots of methods and you need to determine which one to use. And while doing this keep the application open. This helps QTP get the list of functions supported

Still i am not getting any idea on this, could you please be more clear.
Use object spy to look at the object and then see the run-time methods. There you will find a lots of methods and you need judge few by names, then google them and see if you can use that method to select the checkbox in a list
Here are two link which might give you are better idea, they are for .NET and not java though http://www.advancedqtp.com/knowladge...stom-controls/ http://www.advancedqtp.com/knowladge...om-controls-2/
