Friends I observed the different behavior of QTP while running the scripts remotely
I need to run the QTP scripts remotely on client machine. When we run the script it ll run the script perfectly and logs the report file and again once we click on RUN button it through’s an error saying “THIS OPERATION CANNOT BE PERFORMED .PLEASE CONTACT SUPPORT”.
I suggested to client QTP has some problem and they reinstalled it again but still it through the same error.
Actions i took to debug the problem:
1. Reinstall the QTP and installed again
2. While running the scripts we verify the Read-only option is unchecked and even we gave permissions under security.
3. Same script copied to run on our machine, ran successfully
So friends can you suggest me how can I debug and solve the problem -or – any workaround to be done.

This could certainly happend because having a VPN server/client activated means change in the state of the system.
These remote system are mostly based on hooks, ports for transmission etc...And when running they can interfer with how QTP behaves. I don't who would own that responsibility that in the perfect world it all works fine. May it is something that QTP lacks or may be the VPN software don't take care of some aspects that might impact other softwares.
The possible solution that i can think of would be to try and change the software used for remote desktop. We use Remote Desktop and VNC and they work pretty much fine.
