In my application i hve to do set some criteria
for searching. once i am done setting that i click the 'find now' button, which will return set of rows from
the DB for that criteria.
This works when i do manually.
But after setting the criteria thru QTP and clicking the findnow button no rows getting returned.
This behaviour is weird.
Even i run upto setting the criteria thru QTP and try clicking the findbutton manually, no rows returned.
The bottom line is after manupulating the criteria thru QTP the findnow returns no rows..
Note: i am using TestAdvantage on infragistic controls.
Any input on this pls?

Are you using right data in your script?
Yes i am TReddy!
Try changing QTP reply type.
Setting.WebPackage("ReplayType") = 2 'Default is 1
Still no luck treddy. as i said even though i set the criteria thru qtp and do the click on findnow manually,
it returns nothing.
My thinking is , the automation of 'setting the criteria' thru qtp is creating the whole problem.
also these are infragistic controls.
I am not sure how to overcome this.
What is the search criteria?
If it is like enter some keyword and click a button then try to fire some event after you set the keyword before clicking the button.
Look at the property value differences with object spy by Setting the search keyword value manually and through QTP.
It involves swftable selection in setting the search criteria. Nothing much.
I tried fireevent on the swftoolbar before i click the find button.
but still no luck.
Try typing the value into search box insted of QTP set method.
