    Running the script in different environment

    This question is regarding a web application which runs in different environments. I have a single script which needs to run across all environment.
    we use the Shared OR and web pages are identified with URL's .
    i need to change the script such a way that it rans on all environments. enviorments are differ by URL's.
    some one can be help me on this, i will be great thankfull

    I dont see the problem a url should not limit the running of a script. My environments change url's daily and it isn't even a factor.

    What have you done that makes the url a dependency?

    hi,
    you can as well create a text file saving the URL in it. and if you run one environment at a time then you will have enough time to change the URL in text file prior to execution.

    another way is to save all the URLs in Text or Excel (whichever you are confortable with) and then read a URL -> run the entire set of scripts , then read the next url (for new env.) -> run the set of scripts , etc.

    i hope you understood the hints provided by fords & this one too.
