My QTP test machine has Vista installed.
This being a test machine I dont have my outlook configured or even installed on this machine.I dont think I will be allowed to.
After a scheduled run of test scripts I have to email Resulting Spreadsheets to the management. Since I can't initiate Outlook,I am not sure what are my options.
I have tried CreateObject("CDO.Message")which has successfully worked from XP machines but not Vista. Any Clues???
Vista Mail? Or you could try a 3rd party email dll such as W3JMail from Dimac.net. It has a VBScript api.
If you had to identify, in one word, the reason
why the human race has not achieved, and never
will achieve, its full potential that word would be "meetings".
there is a command line tool "sendemail.exe", you need a smpt server (in your company?) to send an email... try this
de omnibus dubitandum
For all Questions: Please be sure to take a look at the QTP Manual before posting any Questions, thanks for doing this
Thank you for your suggestions! I will try sendmail first. Third party clients may not be allowed.Vista has an inbuilt feature called windows mail,I will try that too. Lets see which one works better.
search for "blat"
If ya got beef then fool eat a pork chop.
Thanks Everyone. I had to configure Windows Email for our network SMTP and POP and then it worked like all other programs. Thank you for your valuable suggestions and clues.
