one thing I have done is to verify the name of the gif(or whatever) so as to assume the right file is displayed, but clearly the appearance of image to me is usability testing, which QTP may not perform..
I've played with DP and OR to address this issue.
Basically I've created an action for verifying header and footer.
I just call this action from my other scripts as "existing action".
This will enable me to update the checkpoint from one location.
It's handy since it let me verify bitmap and the footer's link.
The page I'm looking at is using css.
The gif or the path of the image is not displayed.
I've searched and could not find it using view source of the browser.
I just want to make sure that the image that's I initially captured is always there after they make new build of the web app.
