I'm starting to understand QTP, it's great how many things you can do with it. I'm still trying to tie up some loose ends.
One thing I can't understand is where to look in order to find out what string to write as an argument to createObject in order to start other applications... let's say Mozilla Firefox or maybe notepad.
So far, I used it to launch InternetExplorer (InternetExplorer.Application) and even QTP (QuickTest.Application).
Any application which provides COM interface can be used by CreateObject. For example, Excel, Word and so on
You need to determine that whether application which you want to automation has COM interface or not. If Yes, then you can create object of application and access its methods and properties.
Thank you spailkar got it!
