Can you load environment XML if you run QTP via QC?
The new company I have started working at appear to use QC quite heavily to start QTP scripts. I use Environment XML very heavily to configure the scripts and am wondering if I can still use this approach?
yes, you can.
in the settings dialog you can load a xml-file from QC. at first you have been connected to the QC. after this you can choose the file you want from the QC subject tree. its easy and simple.
the environment file should be attached to the script for better handling...
I haven't tried it yet because I'm not yet connected to QC. I'm trying a proof of concept for a new approach which relies heavily on the ability to chose environment XML. As the client uses QC to run QTP, if QC couldn't supply that functionality then I would have had to go back to the drawing board. I'm happy just being told that it can! I'll try later!
