new to qtp 8.2. how do i learn scripting in it?

i want to learn qtp 8.2. i have never done automated testing before. so i have no idea of scripting or anything. i know basic manual testing but that is totally different than automated testing. I have quick test professional tutorial help but besides that how do i practice qtp and learn more about it. besides studying interviewing questions for qtp 8.2, wat should i get or download to get good at qtp 8.2? links, downloads, books will help alot.

Do the included tutorial to start with. Then come and ask questions

Re: new to qtp 8.2. how do i learn scripting in it

Here is a learning roadmap I suggest for folks new to QTP:

Start by learning vbScript, which is a minimal requirement to effective using the other QTP training aids mentioned below:

Then spend time with the tutorial that came with QTP.

Then read the QTP tips and tricks sticky posting:

Before posting new topics read and follow this forumís guidelines:

When posting use the following template to provide information needed to get a useful answer:

But, make sure you search the forum for answers to your question before posting:

Never post the same question multiple times:

Terry is perfectly Correct..Learn VBscript from basics..if you are new to programming then this is your chance to learn..if possible try to take some course on VBscript somewhere if you are a complete stranger to programming
