I'm trying to follow some of the examples in the help to open a web app and do something.
Here's the code:
Set qtApp = CreateObject("QuickTest.Application")
' Configure the Web application to use with this test
qtApp.Test.Settings.Launchers("Web").Active = True
qtApp.Test.Settings.Launchers("Web").Browser = "IE"
qtApp.Test.Settings.Launchers("Web").Address = "http://kaptestqa1.int.kaplan.com "
qtApp.Test.Settings.Launchers("Web").CloseOnExit = True
Browser("my page").Page("welcome to my page")'.Link("Sign In")
The last line produces an error *The "my page" object was not found...*
Does qtp require you to add web objects to object repository before you can you use them in your script (expert view)?
can somebody provide some insight on getting started with scripting in qtp 9.2?
Don't worry about the sticky posts or first page, you have the links and go through them now. [img]/images/graemlins/ooo.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/ooo.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/ooo.gif[/img]
Depending on how the user is accessing and using SQAForums, they may never see where the sticky-ed posts are. For example, I do all of my browsing through the Active Topics link at the top of this page. I very rarely go to a specific forum, for example, QuickTest Pro. You'll find that different people use SQAForums differently. You will probably need to explicity tell users to click the QuickTest Pro link on the left-hand side of the top of this thread to get to where the sticky-ed posts are.
