The shortcut keys specified by design call for
NUM LOCK+ASTERISK on numpad (*) Display all subfolders under the selected folder
NUM LOCK+MINUS SIGN on numpad (-) Collapse the selected folder
NUM LOCK+PLUS SIGN on numpad (+) Display the contents of the selected folder
And these all work.
But when I record key strokes I get Window("Microsoft Word").Window("Open").WinObject("WindowsForms10.Sy sTreeView32.a").Type "*"
and this doesn't work because it's the wrong key.
It doesn't seem to capture when I turn Numlock on or off either.
Is there a way to specify the numpad key rather than the keyboard key?
I did search using numpad and numlock but didn't return any results.
The Word COM API is not what they want tested. (Well it is but I already have lots of VB SCripts to to that.)
Unfortunatly, they want user actions tested the same as a user would perform the actions. They would like me to automate this funcion.
Is there any way for QTP to recognize the difference between keyboard and NumPad keys?
I know Visual Studio knows the difference, and so does MS Word, so I assume Mercury has implemented the change. I just don't know what it is.
