I am using QTP9.2
I have added the Objects in the Application that I am testing in the Object Repository and have changed only the names of the Objects as per the standard naming conventions for my project
I have a window structure in the Application as follows:
Parent Window 1
Child Window 1A
Working Window 1A
But when I add these Objects in the Object Repository(OR) I find that QTP takes only the first two words of the window and the others are ignored.
Because of this another Parent window gets created in the OR and has lead to a lot of confusion in my application.
If there is Child Window 1B, then while adding the objects in the OR, it adds as folows:
Parent Window 2
But this child widow belongs to Parent Window 1.
Also I would like to know if I add the objects in the object repository, change only the names of the object here and not the properties.
Record a script and then associate these object to the scripts, while running the script will it recognise these objects?
Answer for 1 Question - Till now I havenot faced problem like that,I could not tell the answer.
Answer for 2 Question - The names in the OR and the names in the script should be same. If you use shared OR, then check the names in the script and the OR are matching or not. Ofcourse, if you change names in OR, namesin script will be automatically changed.
Nothing is permanent in this world.
But, that POWER (Who/what is it?) makes us to believe this is Eternal. It makes us good/bad things. I also believe that this is permanent universe. So I should work my job/service to others. No one is good/bad on this according to our knowledge. That power??? makes all these.
