    Getting the values of x,y dynamically

    Hi all,

    I wonder if anyone knows if there is a way to get the values of x, y of a window during a test run, put the values into other variables,and then use them to discriptively close the window. Thanks in advance.

    Sounds a bit of an unreliable thing to do.

    Why do you want to do this, perhaps there is a more robust way to close the window.

    Try something like this...

    ' comment out your Original statement to click on the icon in toolbar
    'Window("...").WinObject("Toolbar").Click 727, 16

    ' find the absolute coordinates with the following:
    ax = Window("...").WinObject("Toolbar").GetROProperty(" abs_x")
    ay = Window("...").WinObject("Toolbar").GetROProperty(" abs_y")

    ' copy this statement and paste it in the script
    Set obj = CreateObject("Mercury.DeviceReplay")
    ' In the following statement, 727 and 16 are
    ' the coordinates that you got from the original Click statement.
    obj.MouseClick ax+727, ay+16,0
