While installing QTP, I am getting error sarying "Error1904. Module C:\Program Files|Mercury Interactive\.....\MicMoveVariant.dll failed to register. HRRESULT - 2147024770." for different .dll files like
If I ignore all these and install QTP, I am unable to save any script .
If you don't have admin rights the QTP gives you the "Run Istallation as user...." popup.
Terry, I have done over 200 Seat and 10 Concurrent installs, the only time I had a non-documented problem is when QTP demo version had been installed about 8 months before, left to expire, someone had uninstalled the demo version, when I tried to install a licenced version all sorts of weird stuff was happening.
Without providing any details that would allow someone to hack, were you able to clean the PC in a manner that allowed a licensed install? Did you have to involve Merc support (which means to me it would almost be worth buying another PC...)?
Well that would be the ticket if all PCs were Ghost'd. I guess worst case you could just format the drive and reinstall Windows, your corp apps, blah, blah. But perhaps that was what you meant by "re-image" Lynn.
Anyway I am happy Mark mentioned this. BTW--does the evaluation copy of QTP caution you not to uninstall it, to avoid this problem?
