QTP test results time to display
I am using the QTP 9.2 with the TE pluggin to dump data from a mainframe record to a datatable....I have 1105 records in the datatable which the script used to pull up the record on the mainframe. Each record has around 100 fields which I am outputting to the datatable.
I started the test last night and expected it to be finished this morning...OF course I made an error...apparently I got a blank row in somehow in the last row and I had to skip an error message when I cam in this morning. I then manually stopped the test.
That was at 9:00 am...It is 10:45 am now and the test results has yet to display....I got a VM error and my PC is S L O W.
My question is how long is normal to wait for the test results for a test this size? I really have no basis. I have only run a handful of records before and had no problems getting the results. I am afraid of losing the results...The data was supposed to be exported to the hard drive but since I manually stopped the test the data has not appeared. Any advise? Am I wasting my time by waiting for the test results to appear?
Thanks in advance.
Re: QTP test results time to display
I don't think you will get the report unless you try closing down any unused apps and stopping any unrequired processes that are using a lot of memory. I kill stuf like iTunesHelper.exe, iPodService.exe etc.
Jen you might want to look at writing your report information to Excel, this way you control what is output rather than QTP outputing every single thing. and Excel should open instanteneously.
I would also make sure you have at least 1GB of RAM
