Here is a good one. Im kinda stuck. Any help you guys can give would be great!
I have 2 functions. The first function calls function2() wiith a variable. Function2() performs certain operations, and one of the operation is capturing a dynamic value of trade by using 'Output CheckPoint'.
How do I return that value to function1()?
I know you have to declare function2() as String, then return the variable to function1(), but how do I actually capture that value? do I use:
tradeValue=JavaWindow("Transentry").JavaEdit("Tick et/Group Id").Output CheckPoint("Ticket/Group Id")
You need to use GetROProperty. Checkpoint can only return failure or pass status. And output check points save the value in a data table/environment variable/parameter. They dont return any value. So if you want to return the value then run the checkpoint and access the value from where it has been outputted.
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
JavaWindow("Transentry").JavaEdit("Ticket/Group Id").Output CheckPoint("Ticket/Group Id")
function2 = DataTable("out_TicketGroupID") ' this will depend on where the value was outputted.
