I am using keyword driven framework in which I read data from the excel sheet and execute functions related to the keyword provided. In the Status column in the same excel sheet, I update the status of the run for each row.
For each row.. I want a test results file created in the folder specified which will be customized and the link will be associated to status(Pass/Fail).
Couldn't that add up to a lot of files? Why not store your result but only create another file if the iteration fails? I suppose if all your rows fail you'll still have a lot of files but... I use a variable "status" with my Pass/Fail Reporter.ReportEvent and only write an event when I fail. I set the status = -1 and do different things based on the test case but most usually write the failed data row to the result. I also increment the variable totRun and a numPass/numFail variable with each iteration so I know how many total iterations ran and out of those, how many Pass/Fail results I have. These numbers are written back to Quality Center for reporting.
Works for me but might not be what you're looking for...
