In my script when I enter account number in my app, few popup windows pops up. These are part of the process and only pops up if the account under test matches that conditions. I don't know what account number I am going to use for the testing. I am fetching account numbers under test by running a query that is itself part of the script execution. My issue is to close these popups by clicking OK in the popup window, so I can further execute the test. Each popup has different window title. What I did was thru recovery scenario wizard I created multiple scenarios, basically for each popup window create one scenario and took default action as ENTER. The issue I am having is when these popup window comes on, the recovery scenarios are not triggered.
Cut & Paste From Help.....
On every step—The recovery mechanism is activated after every step.
On error—The recovery mechanism is activated only after steps that return an error return value.
Never—The recovery mechanism is disabled.
Note: Choosing On every step may result in slower performance during the run session.
Since my app is generating the popups that are not considered as returned errors, hence were not triggered when option was "on error" but now my concern is with option "on every step" will slow down the execution. Can any one suggest a golden idea so I can get rid of the popups only when they occur.
