Here I am kind of getting a weird thing in QTP 9.2.
in my web page I have a weblink named pending Install(but recorded as a webelement in QTP script).when I click on the weblink(either right click or left click),the popmenu openswith two options like reschedule and cancel.according to my requirement I have to click on the reschedule, it should goes to the next web page .
so when I record the script, what actually happens is :
it records the pending install as a webelement and nothing is recorded from then until i made changes in the next web page.
while running also,it throws an error like object can't be found as my application didn't move forward from clicking on the pending install.
so what I did is : manually i go to the application, I manually record the reschedule popup menu option.
my script was looking like thisafter recording :
browser(...).window(...).page(....).webelement("pe nding install").click
but what happens when my script runs is:
after clicking on the pending install,it opens the popup menu but that pop up menu opens somewhere on the page, but not attatched to the pending install.
and then it clicks on the reschedule and pop up menu disappears, but it is not moving to next page. because of that, my script throws an pop up like onject can't be found.
so what I did is:i just kept msgbox("...") in between the above two statements, then my script is going well and i can able to move to next page after i click on the msgbox, but it is not appropriate to use msgbox over here.
I did try all the konwledge base solutions in mercury site and also I did use web event record configuration . but I didn't come up with the solution.
can anybody please have a look at it and give me an idea aobut this.
Thanks in Advance
Re: Quick test didn\'t recognise the popupmenu items
I couldn't able to click on the web elements using kerboard .
That is the main problem I am facing.
I did make changes in the custom settings for the web element in the web event record Configuration .but it didn't worked for me.
and also I did try the object identification, even though I facing the same problem.
Can anone please suggest what to do ?
