    Unregistering an ActiveX Control

    I've got a script that is checking to make sure that IE applets are being downloaded and installed correctly, but in order to do this repeatedly I need to unregister the controls prior to re-installing them. I'm declaring the path & filenames to each individual control in an array [applet] and then attempting to use the following function to unregister them:

    <font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>Function UnregApplet()
    Dim oShell
    Set oShell = CreateObject("WSCript.shell")
    For LoopNo = 1 to 18
    CommandLine = "regsvr32 /u /s " &amp; applet(LoopNo)
    oShell.run CommandLine
    Reporter.ReportEvent 2, "unreg applet", CommandLine
    Next
    End Function</pre><hr />
    Unfortunately, several of the controls are not being completely disconnected - they're simply being listed as "damaged". Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong within the function? I need to do the equivalent of right-clicking on the control and selecting "remove".

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Unregistering an ActiveX Control

    What is the current issue exactly? I would suggest you to kill all iexplore.exe processed before unregistering a component.

    Re: Unregistering an ActiveX Control

    Where are keeping youe array of applets, Are you passing into functions? I dont find the applets() array to unregister.

    What ever you tried with your function that is right,for me it is unregistering the dll files smoothly.

    I would suggest you Look in this Url as specified, you will get more clarifications.
