Changing Object properties
Our application was using .Net 1.0 and now we have decided to move to .Net 2.0.
Due to which all the objects name in my QTP testcases have changed.
For example a weblist name used to be "mapFieldsRepeater:_ctl4:EMTAttributeDropDownL ist"
but now its "mapFieldsRepeater$ctl4$EMTAttributeDropDownLi st"
Is there any way I can change the name of all the objects all together. Like in this case I will be replacing colons in the name property with dollar sign. I was trying to use The object repository "Find and Replace" but thats like changing 1 object at a time.
I will appreciate any help.
Re: Changing Object properties
If using QTP 9.x then export the object repository to XML and then do a replace all in notepad. After that re-import the XML. In case you are using QTP 8.2 then use QTP Plus OR COM APIs (find a example in QTP Plus help file).
