I created a QTP script base on the test cases. I lost my test cases, however I want to have test cases document back, I don't want to rewrite it again. Can we generate the test cases base on the script?
Hope I make myself clear this time. Thanks.
Yes? No? Maybe?
What do you mean? You will need to provide a more coherent question and info to get a useful answer.
I don't think there's a direct way to do it from QTP.
However if your script details all the steps from your test case (let's say in the Reporter), you can read the script file line by line and filter the reporter line to generate your test case back.
I think you pretty much need to write it again.
You could copy/paste your script into MSWord (or whatever) and go through it, replaceing lines of script by typing a test case that is representative of what those lines of script do.
This way you won't forget anything.
