    i have a problem in understanding browser and page

    hi everybody,
    Good Morning.
    i have a problem in understanding the following. help me out

    we are working on keyword driven framework by using QTP. for this we are taking help of previous project that has been also done in QTP.
    here in that framework, repository is placed in excel sheet and a function is written to get the data in the repository in to an array. other function that is written is, when u give an object name as argument value, that function returns object properties. by using this properties they have created objects. and these object are used in the script.
    where i stuck up is that, they are not taking the page and browser properties, they are using environment variables for that. i dont know how they defined the environment variable values.

    the sample code goes like this.

    Brow = Environment.Value("ENV_Browser")
    Pg = Environment.Value("ENV_Page")
    Set Own_Browser = Browser(Brow)
    Set Own_Page = Page(Pg)

    browser(own_browser).page(own_page).WebEdit(objdes c).set "xxxxx"

    here objdesc is the creted object by using some function.
    for every statement they are using own_browser and own_page.
    i dont know how they defined the values in the environement variable file.

    help me out.

    Thanks & Regards
    krishna j
