    size of exported data-sheet is over 1 mb

    anybody knows why this happens?

    i'm exporting only 1(! nearly empty) sheet from my runtime datatable to filesystem and this exportet sheet file size is generally over 1 mb, undependet from the data within. any ideas?

    QTP is 9.1

    Do one thing, manually open the sheet and click the save button and see if excel reduces it's size. If it does not that means you should be goode else you need to look upon.

    thanks for hint, i've tested it out, but... hmmm, nothing happens.
    i have a function to prepare this sheet for my report. the size is after some simple makro-calls over 2 mb. seems to be a problem with excel? (2002).

    Do you haved formulas in the spreadsheet? They do increase the size pretty easily

    Also max file size for attachment is 500,000 bytes - you may need to slit and do multiple attachments or use winzip

    @Tarun: it's done, have a look at your mailbox...

    the size of the sheet is over 1 mb after the first export, after customizing the sheet with a vb-script it could become 2 mb or more
