I am testing a web application. Each time when I use different input value(which is as parameter in URL, for example 123 or 1234 or 12345), I will get different web page back. The response page showns different amount of children elements under one tag in web page. As 3 children elements shown as 1.wav, 2.wav, and 3.wav for input value 123. 4 children elements shown as 1.wav, 2.wav, 3.wav and 4.wav for input value 1234.
I setup XML checkpoint for this web page. But I don't know how to update the expected XML structure during test execution with different input value. I will appreciate any help!
Re: Number of children elements in XML is not fixed.
I checked XMLUtil in QTP help and seach in this fortum, it is used to create XML from file or to load an XML file. But I want to validate the XML in my application, not in my hard disk. So I am wondering, do I need to save the web page to my hard disk, then, using XMLUtil to load it? I appreciate your help!
