Currently I am evaluating QTP 9.2 for our java application. Very beginning I am having problem with recoding popup dialog box and its child dialog boxes.
Process what I did
Open Out web application and select the link to open the dialog box, and open is child dialog boxes, but QTP only capture my main web application only.
Did an y one experience this problem.
I spoke with tech support for QTP and they said, they are not supporting SWT. Our developers said those dialog box have nothing to do with Swat's. I am confuse her .... Please provide your knowledge.
Greetings, You are welcome. I had the same issue on .NET. It starts to record and play back after installing and enabling the .NET add-ins and adjust the Web options. Try enable options of Use standard Window Mouse events in Advance tag (Advanced Web Options). Try enable other options which make sense if those options do not do it. Good luck.
I try enabling advance option but no luck. My application is java base. It still can see the button property. I check with the spy. It shows my dialog box as WinObject and it can't read the controls in the dialog box.
Did you recall seeing any error while installing 9.2? I had 9.2 on 2 PCs with exactly the same settings (add-ins, Web and Windows). One was able to record and play back (need to change one method manually after recording) and the other can not record dialog pop-up. Differences between 2 are: one was a fresh install and the other was an upgrade. Another difference was OS: XP Professional vs. 2003. All on IE6? I plan to uninstall all versions and started a fresh 9.2 install next week (fresh install worked.)
This is evaluation copy I download from Mercury/Hp website. They send me evaluation Key also. While I installing I dint receive any errors, as far as I know. My Operating system is XP professional. I will post my pop dialog box her take look. This is a JSP page nothing fancy. QTP recognize as WinObject - Internet Explore_server.
