i have a grid in my application which is recognized as
i need to be able to work with this object in terms of reading and editing data in the cells. I was not able to find a lot of information on these forums and elsewhere to make much headway.
There are 2 options-
1. class mapping (which did not work- tried to map it to winlistview)
2. working with the dlls (which i do not have much knowledge about)
i would appreciate it anyone could spare the time to help me out with the second approach.
Is it a Stingray Grid? If so, there is an addin which will provide the necessary methods and properties. If not you can use user-defined functions which navigate to the cell using arrow keys and then the clipboard to copy or paste the contents of the cell.
As far as dlls are concerned it is best if it is registered as a COM object and then you can use a user-defined class to access properties and methods.
If you had to identify, in one word, the reason
why the human race has not achieved, and never
will achieve, its full potential that word would be "meetings".
I am facing the same issue now, where the objects in my application are getting identified as WinObject AfxFrameOrView90 etc. Were you able to find a solution or work around for the problem you mentioned in the above post.
If so, could you please share the solution with us ? It will be of great help for us.
