I am working with QTP 9.1. I need to do some browser compatibility testing for the web applications. since we could not record at Netscape, i tried to work with the same script that i captured at IE with little modifications. But the thing is, the child objects are not recognized and it is showing as Web Element. Hence could not run at Netscape.
Any suggestion on this how to continue. This is something very [censored]. pls...
Description: we have scripts developed with QTP 9.1 on IE version 6.0. We need to run the same scripts on different browser supported by QTP 9.1. The scripts are working fine on Mozilla firefox 2.0 bon echo, but in Netscape 8.0 the scripts are failing.
You are right. It is recorded at IE and working fine at IE. Wherease when it comes to Netscape, QTP is not recognizing the childobjects under page under specific classes such as “link”, “image”, “webedit” etc instead it is recognizing them under general class as “webelement”/winobject
This behavior is specific to our website as QTP is recognizing the objects properly in other common sites like google.com.
