    Regular Expression

    Hi All
    I am testing web application on different region and using DP to recognize object.I need to use regular expression here, what i did is not working i think i am wrong can any one please suggest me better idea.
    I did
    http://fepdirect.*.bcbsafep.com/fepdirect/Login.jsp

    for following urls

    http://fepdirectdev.bcbsafep.com/fepdirect/Login.jsp
    http://fepdirectst.bcbsafep.com/fepdirect/Login.jsp
    http://fepdirecti2.bcbsafep.com/fepdirect/Login.jsp
    http://fepdirectpt.bcbsafep.com/fepdirect/Login.jsp
    http://fepdirecta2.bcbsafep.com/fepdirect/Login.jsp

    One more thing is it good technique to identify page
    Browser("openurl:=http://fepdirectdev.bcbsafep.com/fepdirect/ClaimLevelFooterPopupNewClaimFac.jsp").Page("url:= http://fepdirectdev.bcbsafep.com/fepdirect/ClaimLevelFooterPopupNewClaimFac.jsp").WebEdit("ht ml tag:=INPUT","name:=errorOtherDiagnosisCode1","type :=text").Set DataTable("OtherDiagnosisCode1", dtLocalSheet)

    Thanks
    Shahid

    Re: Regular Expression

    "http://fepdirect.*\..*\.com/fepdirect/Login\.jsp"

    For your second statment if it works then why not. But you are making the statements length. Page object never requires a recognition parameter, you should always use "micClass:=Page" for the Page object. And you can make the program short by using variables

    sPage="micClass:=Page"
    sBrowser="openurl:=
    http://fepdirectdev.bcbsafep.com/fepdirect/ClaimLevelFooterPopupNewClaimFac.jsp"

    Browser(sBrowser).Page(sPage).WebEdit("name:=error OtherDiagnosisCode1").Set DataTable("OtherDiagnosisCode1", dtLocalSheet)

    a WebEdit already implies few properties like "type:=text" and "html tag:=INPUT". Can there be a WebEdit with some other HTML TAG? The answer is No, So you dont need to use something which is already implied when you use WebEdit.
