Is there some sort of procedure to following when we upload scripts to QC.
In my script i use vbs files , excel files etc.
So my question is how you guys are handing this when executing script from qc.
Even i have used relative path like ..\..\carproject\folder2\script
1) i am refering my script and vbs file using relative path in my script to point to the exact path, which looks like ..\..\carproject\script.
When i use these vbs files as attachment in QC do i hve to create a folder called carproject and store these vbs files in that carproject
inorder to make use of the relative path in QC.
Also i am calling lot of external scripts in my main script so do i hve to upload all the external scripts to the same "carfolder"?
3) Is it wise to load the excel files (import and export) as attachment into QC or its wise to handle them in a local folder like c:\carproject\etc.
What is reliable and what is the standarad way in this issue? becos for my other project i used as attachment but its giving problem
when its been accessed by more users.
4) Getting error when using relative path to open an excel file in the code below. carproject folder is in "C:\Projects\"
Set objExcel = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
5) One last question:
when i save the activeworkbook using the below line, i am getting another dialog box which asks me for confirmation. Here i dont want to use saveas to saveit in another
location. i want to overwrite if it exists.

Automated Test Domain Folder
I have all global files as an attachment of the resource file folder (i.e. GlobalMethods.vbs, EnvConfig.xml, UserIDsAndPwrds.xls) ... so anything that is shared across multiple scripts live here. Excel files that data drive/key word drive individual test cases would live as an attachment to that test case in the Drivers folder. Test Director/Quality Center API functions are used to download/upload these files as needed with the exception of .vbs files which are linked to the QTP scripts.
