I haven't taken it (2000 GBP for exam, 1 days lost wage & travel expenses put's me off) but I worked with a guy who took it.
He said anyone with 18 months experience and a fair knowledge of VBScript can answer the questions. The problem he had was that the exam uses the GUi & Web flight booking apps, as he had never done the tutorial or viewed the apps, he said he only just completed the exam with seconds to spare, as he was having to learn the apps at the same time as do the exam.
He also said some of the QTP help is removed (I think he said is was mainly VBScript examples.
So learn the apps and memorise basic VBScript syntax should be enough.
I did the 8.2 CPC last Sept.,which was fairly tight for time in regard to the practical. I believe it was made an online exam from Nov 2006 and therefore a different format.
Since the next one will be an upgrade to 9.x it probably won't be as long and of little interest to anyone taking the whole exam.
Mark, it would have been nice to have indulged in the 50 quid stuff, but unfortunately mine was a flight to Melbourne from Perth, hotel, early start, wait 2 hours to sort out licenses then a bums rush to get it finished in time for the flight back. Still, I also did the CI and now it is starting to pay off.
Just do it then charge double for your time - (Fat Chance, eh)
