Justification....why one need XML editor
I need to share some of your viewpoints that what justification one can give why there can be a need for an XML editor like XML spy for any automated testing effort using QTP or any other tool. Is it beneficial purchasing an XML editor. FYI.....little background of our current efforts. We are developing key word driven testing framework and our OR is not XML OR. Since one of our test script needed to process an XML file that was having some format error and with an evaluation copy of XML spy we were able to resolve that error, so I happened to let my manager know that we may need an XML editor since XML has now been a very powerful and useful medium for any programming like efforts whether in automated or usual application development.
Re: Justification....why one need XML editor
I really dont think it should be required. When you open a XML in a browser also, it will only display it if it is well formed. And i dont think due to 1-2 occurence of error you should purchase a XML tool.
Just my thought
