when I record two webpage like say www.google.ca and www.msn.com. from expert view, test script for www.msn .com it shows Browser("Google").Page("MSN"). All object for msn website was displayed under Google browser. Although I can play back, it doesn't look reasonable, how can I avoid that?
In OR, I try to add second browser name in object Repository, it will be put automatically under Google browser name, I want to create a MSN browser name so that all relative objects is under msn browser name. it won't work.how should I do to let QTP recognized proper browser name when I have more than one application to be tested
Winty, it doesn't matter what the Browser or Page is called, it's the properties used to ID them that matter.
What QTP does is use the Browser & Page class to ID them as default (unless you have multiple Browser open).
As Google & MSN Browser/Page combination both have the same Classes QTP doesn't differentiate between the two. If you need to differentiate you will have to manually add properties to the OR, or change your Web Object recognition settings.
Here's is an example of what I mean:
Run this against ANY website and it will work (as long as there is only one open browser)
