    Dynamic checkbox

    I am using web application and it has checkboxes whose all values are dynamic. All the values changes every time. Plus there is no index on it.
    SO I cannot recognize the checkboxes using DP at all.
    Is there any other way.

    Re: Dynamic checkbox

    Attach 2-3 sample HTML source code pages, so that we can have a look.

    Re: Dynamic checkbox

    I thought that "index:=" always worked in DP? Isn't it relative to the level you are using DP to indentify the object?

    ie. Crude Example; Browser().Page().WebButton("micclass:=WebButton", "index:=1").Click

    would click the second web button on the page where as

    Browser().Page().WebButton("name:=My name", "index:=1"), Click

    would click the second web button on that page which has a name of "My name". (conversely, I think if only one web button existed with that name, then "index:=1" would also get the same button,

    Apologies if this doesn't make sense, just got back from pub!

    Re: Dynamic checkbox

    You are correct Robbie.

    TeMan is probably using the object spy on a CheckBox and because index is a runtime property it will not be displayed in the spy.

    Re: Dynamic checkbox

    The problem is I cannot use Index because the number of checkboxes increases or decreases all the time.
    So If I use a particular checkbox, One day its index will be 2 and other day its index will be 3.
    So how can I use Index?

    You said there was no index on it, you didn't explain why you couldn't use it.

    If you were manually testing how would you identify the correct checkbox for selection?
