I am wondering if it is possible to do what I would like to do here.
I would like to use an xml template and import that into xmlwarehouse. This piece works fine.
Then I want to parameterize the values in the elements. This is easy as well.
Then I want to run a script that pulls my data in and creates xml files using my template based on my data that I have parameterized, then save those off as seperate xml files.
This where I am having an issue.
If I try to use
Set objXML = XMLUtil.CreateXML(XMLWarehouse("test"))
I get a type mismatch, so obviously I am doing something wrong.
Is there a way to do this? I am sure there is and I am sure I will feel like an idiot as soon as someone says what I am doing wrong but I can't seem to think of what the problem is right now.
There us difference between XML object and the document object. What you are trying to do should be done with the document object and not with the XML object
Set doc = XMLUtil.CreateXML()
hehe I was coming back to post that I had figured it out and I was right I was doing something stupid.
Thanks for the post though Tarun.
Is there a way to be able to do
XMLWarehouse("test").XML/text/Value = xml object
No there is no way to do this way but you can always extract the XML string from the XML Object you have on RHS. XMLWarehouse is a readonly repository.
Thanks Tarun...Appreciate your taking time/effort in answering my query.
By the way you were the only one who answered from all the forums i posted this question on..
