I am looking for a book or tutorial or study material on QTP scripting using VB.
If anyone has one please contact me.
I believe the only "books" available on QTP are from Mercury, when you buy the product. These are actually now PDF files and online help.
To supplement these vendor docs, you should carefully prowl through the sticky postings at the very top of this forum:
1. QTP FAQs,...
2. vbScript FAQs, ...
3. and especially the Donate a function, ...
Between these three threads you will get plenty examples of simple through complex issues and problems being tackled with coding examples.
-Hope this helps, Terry Horwath
Yes there are more useful functions avaiable in "Donate a user defined Functions" for some scenarios. QTP help is also one guide for you.
You can also search Devguru.com and Microsoft search engines for Vbscript fundamentals.
- One thing you can't recycle is wasted time -
Also there's a VBScript User's guide in the Help for QTP that is a good place to refer/start.
see my blog: www.sqablogs.com/rainbowtesting
if u vant to learn VBscript go to w3school
then if u want to learn Qtp .The "books" are available on Mercury Site
Ananya, I thought you had written one, that's what your post from 2 months ago lead me to believe.
