I've the problem like. We are having more than 150 QTP script in our project. Since our onsite doesn't know anything about QTP script, they are asking us to put all the qtp scripts in Quality center and run them all unmanned. Of course, the scripts are already tested running individual script. But while running on the whole in test set is creating some problem sometimes we are getting the error like "Unable to open the script" also some times the earlier application browsers not closed kind of problems. Becuase of this we couldn't run them on the whole atleast a time. SO, i want to know how the process usually be? Whether the execution is planned by running each script and running the entire scripts in a single shot?
We have been running the tests from Quality Center. As long as each test starts with a new browser and closes all the existing browsers already opened, I think it should work fine. We use runtestset scheduler to interface with QC to run unmanned. All our tests run close to midnight everyday.
Thanks for your input.
We are following the same process only as you mentioned except we are not setting scheduler to run. Will that make much difference.
Also Currently I'm having the problem like when the test set is run more than 4hours to 5 hours. QTP is getting hanged. What would be the reason for that. I'm following Descriptive programming. Will that make much performance issue.
i want to automate some QTP scripts in QC. i know that it can be done using 'Test Run Schedule'. i have set a time to run under 'Time Dependency' tab in the 'Run Schedule' pop up window. But the script is not running at the scheduled time. Can any one help me in this please?
