Benefits of using QuickTest for Excel Automation?
I was wondering if someone could tell me if there are any benefits to using QuickTest Professional to automate Excel (or any MS Office application)? Since it ties into the office object model directly, much of what I can do within a MS Excel macro I can also do in QTP. I am just not sure why I would opt to use QTP, and would like to know if there are benefits to using this over office macros.
Can I use CheckPoints or Sync with an Excel application?
Thanks for any insight to this...hope all are well!
Re: Benefits of using QuickTest for Excel Automation?
I would so no benefit at all. The thing that you can do purely with VBScript or VBA should not be thought to be done from QTP.
