Most of functionality in my tests created as functions and subs. They located in vbs file. During debugging I couldn't go step by step through those routines. Just for that I temporary insert them to actions instead of call. Is there some other method to do this? Thanks, Gir
I either output values to a msgbox like IanF describes or I use a function like this and write stuff to a log file (If I don't want to push the OK button on each popup).
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
public function writelog(smessage)
' Purpose: Writes log information to logfile
' Inputs: smessage: the string that contains the message text
' Returns: 0: Success
' <>0: Failure
dim fso, fl, flname
Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
writelog = 0
flname = fso.GetAbsolutePathName(".") & "\" & year(date) & right((100 + month(date),2) & right(100+day(date),2) & ".log"
Set fl = fso.OpenTextFile(flname, 8, True)
on error resume next
fl.write date & ", " & time & ", " & smessage & vbcrlf
writelog = err.number
on error goto 0
'-- Clean up
set fso = nothing
