QTP 8.2 and 9.0 differences
I was making my regular check of the new mercury Knowlege Base entries when I came across one that documents a difference between 8.2 and 9.0 because of an 8.2 "undocumented feature" which is unsupported.
Since these KB's generally arise from situations not in the original documentation and uncovered by users, I thought perhaps a thread about the users's findings of this nature would be helpful.
I originally did a quick search on 9.0 and difference but I didn't find anything like this. If I overlooked something obvious, please accept my apologies in advance....
Here's a quote from that KB:
The data table's default property is the Value property. This allows you to specify the parameter name (column name) without specifying that value is being called. For example, the following two lines perform the same actions:
The LocalSheet and GlobalSheet objects do not have a Value property, so the parameter name cannot be used without another method or property to retrieve the value from the data table. This functionality did work in QuickTest Professional 8.2, however it was undocumented functionality. Undocumented functionality is not supported and is not guaranteed to exist or function the same way in future releases. Mercury Customer Support recommends avoiding the use of undocumented functionality if possible.

Same for Environment Variables, both these methods work:
