Getting a DOM object\'s browser
I am trying to write a function that will return the Browser object that a given DOM object belongs to. This seems like something that should be simple, but I am having trouble coming up with a good method.
Right now, I am planning on using the Windows API to get all of the Internet Explorer windows. Then I will cycle through all the IE windows until I find one whose document matches the properties of the DOM objects .ownerDocument.
Does this sound like the best path to take, or is there a better way that I am missing?
Re: Getting a DOM object\'s browser
You will have to compare propeties and that is the only way, so you are going correct.
