I am developing scripts using 2 types of users. One is Admin user and other is bzzuser. QTP works fine with Admin user but not with bzzuser. QTP takes more than 7 to 8 mins while submitting login info for bzzuser and this is happening only with IE browser. With firefox browser QTP scripts works fine for both users. Is QTP having such kind of problems? Can anyone please tell me what would be the problem? I will really appreciate your help
Is Smart Identification enabled in QTP for object identification?
Have you recoded your scripts using IE browser or firefox.
If you have recoded your scripts using firefox then after executing the scripts in IE browser then check the result if you will find smart identification is getting enabled to recognize the object and windows. Then this is the reason why QTP is taking more time to execute the same script in case of IE browser. You need to configure you object identification in such a way that both for IE and FireFox the mandatory property of the objects will be enough to distinguish it from other objects. And also disable smart identification. This may help you to resolve the problem.
Yes, I tried the way you said but nothing helps. I recorded a script in Firefox environment and ran into IE environment. It also gave me error message. I added enabled property check and made smart identification false. But this one is not working either.
I just want you to know that the above problem got solved. This was regarding missing flashfile. Firefox realizes Flash animation is missing but IE just sits there trying to load it forever. And this was the cause for taking 8 to 10 mins to login user info. After fixing this problem my login script runs within seconds.
